Receibo

Split bills in Japan โ€” just snap the receipt

For izakaya nights, trips and share-house life. Add who paid what, and we calculate who owes whom with the fewest payments. Free, no sign-up โ€” your Japanese friends can use the same link too.

You can add or remove people later. You can also leave this empty.

๐Ÿ“ท

Scan Japanese receipts

Snap a photo and the amount and items are read automatically โ€” even handwritten-looking izakaya receipts.

๐Ÿงฎ

Fewest transfers

We minimise the number of payments so settling up is quick.

Everyone sees and edits the same page. No app, no account.

Made for everyday life in Japan

๐Ÿป

Izakaya nights & nomikai

One person pays the bill, the table splits it later. Scan the receipt, pick who joined, done โ€” it even handles 'I only had soft drinks' with item-by-item splitting.

๐Ÿ

Share-house bills

Electricity, gas, Wi-Fi, rice and groceries someone fronted for the house. Keep a running tab and settle once a month.

๐Ÿš„

Trips around Japan

Kyoto, ski trips, Okinawa โ€” one person books the hotel, another the rental car. Add expenses as you go and settle with the fewest payments at the end.

How it works

1

Create a page

Enter an event name and members โ€” no sign-up.

2

Add expenses

Type the amount or scan the receipt. Equal split, custom amounts, or item by item.

3

Settle up

The page shows exactly who pays whom. Settle in cash, by bank transfer or PayPay.

FAQ

Is it really free?

Yes. Creating groups, adding expenses and the settlement calculation are free with no limit. Receipt scanning is free for up to 15 receipts per group.

Do my friends need an account or app?

No. Anyone with the link can view and add expenses in their browser. The same page also exists in Japanese, so Japanese friends feel at home.

How do we actually pay each other?

Receibo shows who owes whom; you settle in cash, by bank transfer, or with apps like PayPay.

Can it read Japanese receipts?

Yes โ€” it's built for Japanese receipts: convenience stores, supermarkets, izakaya. It reads the total and each item.
